Now Thank We All Our God (from Cantata No. 79) - Bach - Content Classical Organ
It's time to change it up a little - played on my Content (Netherlands) digital organ in my living room. I seldom get the opportunity to play big pipe organs, but this organ helps with that urge :) This piece is based on the hynm "Nun danket alle Gott", composed by Martin Rinckart in 1630. I have had this organ for over 11 years now, and never regretted getting it, so much fun! A personal note about this piece: This arrangement is from a book that I have had for some time now. I first learned it while my dad was diagnosed and failing fast with leukemia in 2003. It may be thought as an odd time to be thanking God, but this was such a fitting way to celebrate my dad's life - a great guy who showed us how to say sorry, how to forgive, how to live, and how to die - facing it head on and sharing his faith until his last days. I may be rushing this piece, but I'm playing it the way he liked it :)

Classical Music: The Singing Servers
Classical Music: The Singing Servers
Book this act at: www.scottjordan.co.uk This high quality and hugely experienced act revolves around a number of top opera singers posing as waiters at your event. Typically, as coffee is being served, a waiter who has been serving the meal, would interupt the event and explain that he has been challenged or asked to sing. It is a big surprise when he sings an stunning operatic hit like "Nessun Dorma". This would be matched by an equally robust performance of more operatic hits from another 2 waiters! By now the guests would have guessed that this is an act and the soloists gather for a big finale. Inspirational and widely acclaimed The Singing Servers will be the highlight of any event. The precise timing and content can be varied to suit the occasion but it will always be surprising and very entertaining.

Ten Principles of Classical Liberalism
Ten Principles of Classical Liberalism
Mr. Stolyarov was recently asked to attempt a formulation of ten crucial principles of classical liberalism, the worldview which animated the American Revolution, the European Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, and the libertarian revival of free-market thought in the mid-to-late twentieth century. Classical liberalism - even when it is not explicitly espoused - still has considerable residual influence on the political and economic institutions of the Western world and is having an increasing impact outside the West as well. Classical Education in Keller Texas: Part 1
Classical Education in Keller Texas: Part 1
Classical Education in Keller, Texas The parent's strong desire for their children to have a better life than their own is but one of the principle reasons behind a resurgence in the popularity of the Classical Education Approach today. The purpose of Classical Education, and especially Christian Classical Education, is to provide the skills for leadership and living in the modern world based on the building blocks of our western heritage. In order to know where we are going, we must first know where we have been. The primary goal is to provide a framework for living based on character and clear thinking. Classical Education is best described by its methodology and its content. The methodology is based on the "so called" Trivium. Although this word may not be familiar to you, it is simply a Latin term meaning "the three ways." They are: Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric. Grammar - the mechanics of language. The use of symbols (letters, numbers, drawings, etc.) to express thought. Logic - the mechanics of thought, or in other words, the art of thinking. Rhetoric - the use of language to instruct or persuade. This can be thought of as communication from one mind to another. The content of Classical Education curriculums is geared toward equipping the children to make distinctions in quality, ie, to recognize the Good, the True, and the Beautiful. This is done by exposure to the best of western heritage in art, literature, and music. They study authors such as Homer, Sophocles ...
